Bussbar System Integrates Numerous Components July 16, 2008
The UL489 busbar system is a completely integrated package of busbars, miniature circuit breakers, and power-feed devices and accessories in one assembly with high electrical ratings. This approach forecasts up to 30% savings in installation time, optimized panel space, and lower maintenance requirements. The system supports either the company's L-series miniature UL489 breakers or other popular UL489 circuit breakers on the market. The system jumps up to 52 poles of circuit breakers and specifies ratings up to 115A at 480 Vac. A standard system consists of the circuit breakers with corresponding one-, two-, or three-phase UL489 busbars and accessories. Available accessories include power-feed lugs, modular direct power feeds, and insulation caps. Every pin configuration is possible with a combination of existing six, 12, and 18 pins.
