The company now offers a shielded version of its Category 6 EZ-RJ45 (part# 300668SEZ) connector plus a snag-less boot (part# CBX600EZ). The EZ Series includes connectors rated for CAT 5, CAT 5e, and CAT 6 and promises to simplify twisted pair terminations. Their one-piece design has no bars or liners and enables technicians to slide the wire through the connector and out the front, making it easy to visually confirm the wiring pinout prior to crimping. To optimize electrical performance, users are able to pull the connector over the cable jacket and seat it securely in the rear of the connector to minimize the distance between the wire twists and contacts. The components accept both solid and stranded wire. The shielded connector exceeds CAT 6 performance requirements per TIA/EIA-568-B when pairing with a standard strain-relief boot or the CBX600EZ snag-less boot.
