Board Connectors Up The Density Ante

Heeding increasing demands for higher signal density in small system slot pitches, the Z-PACK Slim UHD series board-to-board connectors outfit 15-mm system slot pitch applications and above. In terms of density, the connectors provide either 55 pins per cm2 or 355 pins per in.2. Users have the ability to implement pin assignments, single ended or differential, in different configurations. By exchanging the daughter cards, two different receptacle connector performance versions are possible, enabling the application to be upgradeable. The Common Speed version handles signal speeds up to about 3.5 Gb/s while the High Speed version is capable of operating at 20+ Gb/s.
