Targeting board-to-board mezzanine or small pluggable-daughter-card applications, the Micro Card Edge Data (MCE) card-edge connectors handle data rates up to 14 Gb/s. The connectors are available with 40 and 100 contacts with a 0.8-mm pitch. They exhibit a smooth contact surface that promises to keep insertion forces low and ensure contact reliability and security. Additionally, the MCE connector range offers manufacturing features for SMT reflow soldering and are available in tape-and-reel packaging with a pick-and-place pad for a vacuum nozzle.
