While requiring a low insertion force, the company's snap-in printed-circuit board terminals maintain their position during assembly and soldering processes. They employ a split-barrel design, which accounts for the low insertion force, and the design also features spring retention that ensures the terminals stay put during assembly. Same-direction crimp ears ensure ease of use with manual or automated wire-processing equipment. The terminals are made from a high-conductivity zirconium-copper alloy that resists softening and keeps its shape during thermal cycling up to 500°C for a few seconds and 350°C for several minutes and they support wire sizes from 20 to 18 AWG.
