Employing the company’s ceramic technology, the W3530 multi-hybrid, five-band, internal cellular antenna maintains a very low profile and weight. The antenna works on all four GSM bands (GSM850, EGSM900, PCN1800, and PCS1900) and on the W-CDMA 2100 band. The unit measures only 40 mm x 8 mm x 6 mm and weighs 1.6 g. Its wide return-loss bandwidth allows placement in devices of various sizes. All operating bands are combined to a single feed point for multiband engines. Ceramic and sheet metal are combined in a unique way and use integrated matching circuits. In addition, ceramic’s immunity to the presence of other antennas and to the hand/head effect (electro-magnetic emissions that can affect antenna performance) makes the W3530 well suited for handheld devices with multiple antennas.
