Expanding the company's family of ambient light sensors, the APDS-9007 provides a logarithmic output and covers a wide range of brightness from 3 lux to 70,000 lux. Designed to follow the human-eye spectral response curve, the sensor promises a reliable sensor reading under diverse lighting conditions, including direct sunlight. To reduce power consumption and save battery life, it allows the auto adjustment of LCD backlight intensity and keypad lighting.
