PCB Connectors Handle Higher Voltages

July 26, 2007
The company's latest PCB terminal blocks and plug connectors/headers are tailored to power applications that employ higher voltage levels. The GMSTB(A) 2.5 HC(V) header and plug with screw connection for wire-to-board applications is said to be the only product of its kind to feature a space-saving 7.62 mm pitch and voltage ratings of 1 kV IEC and 600V UL. The MKDS 5 HV is a fixed printed-circuit mount terminal block, that enables discrete wiring termination with a rising cage screw clamp on a 6.35-mm spacing. It is available in one through 12 positions with a dovetail feature to create larger position sizes. Front or back pinning options are also available. Both the GMSTB(A) 2.5 HC(V) and the MKDS 5 HV feature a touch-safe design. PHOENIX CONTACT INC., Middletown, PA. (800) 322-3225.
