Spring Contact Enable Solderless Termination July 09, 2007
The ASM01Y spring contact, a single-pole, vibration-resistant surface-mount component, allows for a solderless termination and supports the connection of pin-type components and individual solid wires ranging in size from 18 to 14 AWG. It also accommodates stranded wires with ferrules and is THR compatible. The component withstands soldering temperatures of 290°C for 90 seconds and accepts solder either on the component or the soldering side. Additionally, the ASM01T measures 3.5 mm x 3.5 mm.
