June 2007 Issue
Published Date: May 16, 2007
With a lower operating voltage and higher noise tolerance than previous offerings, the TLP2066 emerges as the company's first optocoupler operating from a 3.3V supply and delivering signal rates up to 20 Mb/s or 20 MegaBaud. Offered in a 5-pin SOP6 package measuring 4.4 mm x 3.6 mm x 2.5 mm, the device specifies a common mode transient immunity ratio of 15 kV/µs and a minimum isolation voltage of 3.75 kVRMS. It delivers a maximum output current of 10 mA and operates in temperatures ranging from -40oC to +100oC. Other specs include an input current (logic low output) of 5 mA, a supply current of 5 mA, and a maximum propagation delay of 60 ns. Sampling now, price is $1.50 each.
