System Keeps Large Enclosures Cool
June 2007 Issue
Published Date: April 24, 2007
The company's latest Dual Cabinet Cooler System keeps large electrical enclosures cool with 20°F air and reports a cooling capacity up to 5,600 Btu/hr. The system incorporates a vortex tube that cools standard compressed air to 20°F without the use of refrigerants. Tubes mount through a standard electrical knockout while maintaining the NEMA 12, 4, or 4X rating of the enclosure. Systems with thermostat control minimize compressed air use, keeping the enclosure at ± 2ºF of the temperature setting. An automatic drain filter separator ensures no moisture passes to the inside of the enclosure. Dual Cabinet Coolers are available with cooling capacities of 4,000, 4,800 and 5,600 Btu/hr. and models with lower cooling capacities are also available. Prices start at $689.
