Cable Harnessing System Survives Severe Conditions
May 2007 Issue
Published Date: April 24, 2007
Capable of withstanding nuclear, biological, and chemical contamination, the RAYCHEM 700 series cable-harnessing systems consists of heat-shrinkable tubing, molded parts, wire, cable, adhesives, adapters, and other components necessary for system interconnection. Harnessing materials have been tested to withstand chemical agents as outlined in military test procedures (TOP 8-2-511) for interior and exterior exposure levels. Three versions of the system are available: System 770 for -55°C to +125°C applications, System 780 for –55°C to +175°C, and System 790 handling –65°C to +200°C applications. Additionally, the components have been tested to survive decontamination processes. For more details, call TYCO ELECTRONICS, Harrisburg, PA. (800) 522-6752.
