Low-Profile Relay Beats The Heat
May 2007 Issue
Published Date: April 11, 2007
Capable of drawing heat away from PCBs, thereby enabling smaller traces, the G2RL-1ATP series power PCB relays feature 6.3-mm external quick connect contact load terminals. Switching loads up to 16A at 250 Vac/24 Vdc, the use of quick connect terminals allows the load current to be directly routed through the relay’s contacts. Routing load current this way reduces heat generated on the PCB. The component comes in a 12.6 mm x 32.5 mm x15.9 mm, flux-protected through-hole package with a dielectric strength of 5 kVac with coil contacts closed and 1 kVac between open contacts. The coil operates with 400 mW of power and employs a class-F coil insulation system. Pricing is $1.993 each/5,000 piece quantities. OMRON ELECTRONICS LLC, Schaumburg, IL. (847) 882-2288.
