Stackable USB Board Hosts 96 Lines of Digital I/O

EMBEDDED SYSTEMS CONFERENCE, San Jose, CA. - The Micro/sys USB196 digital I/O board implements the StackableUSB standard and features four 82C55 devices that support 96 TTL I/O lines. It includes an 8-position DIP switch and eight LEDs for debugging during system development, for station number, or configuration settings in the final production system. All discrete I/O lines provide software programmable pull-ups or pull-downs. Other features include a C8051F340 microcontroller running at 48 MHz that is compatible with the 8051 architecture and integrates peripherals that include a 10-bit a/d converter, two UARTs, one I2C interface, and a SPI.
