Low-Frequency Oscillator Debuts As Industry’s Smallest

Touted as the market’s smallest, the OV-7604-C7 low-frequency oscillator measures 3.2 mm x 1.5 mm x 1 mm in a ceramic SMD package. The component combines a 32.768 kHz timing crystal with a complete CMOS oscillator circuit and is RoHS compliant. Operating voltage ranges from 5.5V down to 1.2V, and maximum current consumption is 0.5 µA at 3V. Other features include a start up time of 0.5s maximum, frequency tolerance of ±20 ppm, operating temperature range from -40°C to +85°C, and a shock resistance up to 5 kg.
