Vibration Switch Provides Alarm/Shutdown Protection
April 2007 Issue
Published Date: March 13, 2007
Guarding fans, pumps, motors, and other machinery, the latest Series 685B electronic vibration switch includes two set points with individual alert and alarm levels. What were once options are now standard features, as well as a new compact design. In addition to two solid-state or form-C relays, each switch in the series includes a raw vibration output signal for spectrum analysis, 4 mA-to-20 mA output for overall vibration trending, and a 4 mA-to-20 mA calibration function. Other features include dual openings for wiring and installation and variable time delays. Additionally, the switches are available as ac- or dc-powered units. IMI SENSORS, Depew, NY.
