Extending the company's range of connectors compatible with pin-in-paste (PiP) soldering processes, the Minitek 2-mm headers are available in shrouded and un-shrouded headers in straight, right angle, or stacking versions to support custom board spacing. Molded housings for the headers are made of a high-temperature plastic with a design optimized for solder paste flow. Pin lengths are reduced to avoid the risk of pushing solder paste out of the holes during connector placement. Pricing for Minitek PiP headers ranges from $0.025 to $0.045 per pin.
