The latest member of the Cyclone II FPGA family, the EP2C15A, integrates 240 Kb of embedded RAM and 14,448 logic elements, providing a higher memory-to-logic ratio than previously available. To reduce power-on time, the device features a fast-on capability that enables it to meet the 50-ms requirement for automotive applications. Existing family members, EP2C8 and EP2C20, are also available with the fast-on feature. Similar to its predecessors, the EP2C15A is available on 90-nm and 130-nm process technologies and consumes as little as 12 mW of static power. Price is $8.90 each/100,000.
