The latest Super Blue single-/dual-digit, 7-segment and dot-matrix displays offer enhanced color, continuously uniform brightness, and high reliability for critical control applications. The BHS single-digit (14.22-mm digit height) and BD dual-digit (13.80-mm digit height) employ the company's super blue chips. Dual-digit displays are TTL compatible, using constant current drivers and serial-data inputs, and operate with supply voltages from 3.5V to 6.5V. Performance characteristics of both displays include a per-segment forward current of 30 mA, operating temperature range of -40°C to +80ºC, and power dissipation of 120 mW per segment. Peak standard wavelength is 460 nm. The BM Series dot-matrix module features a 5 x 7 grid design, employing 3-mm dots on a black surface with a 39.1-mm matrix height. Operation is based on a multiplex drive with column/row anode common. Otherwise, electrical and temperature characteristics are the same as the 7-segment components.
