ADC Implemented AS IP Block
October 2005 Issue
Published Date: October 12, 2005
The LTR9200-T18 is a low power, 10-bit, successive approximation (SAR) a/d converter in the form of an intellectual property (IP) block. It is designed specifically for portable, battery powered systems. It has eight multiplexed inputs and an integrated sample-and-hold circuit with offset calibration. The sampling rate is 1 MSPS and both differential nonlinearity (DNL) and integral nonlinearity (INL) are a maximum of 1 LSB. It operates on 3.3V analog and 1.8V digital. Current draw is 2 mA in active mode, 100 nA in shutdown. It is rated for the industrial temperature range of -40°C to +85°C. The IP block is designed in TSMC 0.18 micron CMOS technology but can be retargeted to other processes. LTRIM TECHNOLOGIES, Montreal, Canada. (408)268-8813
