Meeting environmental requirements for lead-free and RoHS-compatible components, the BergStik un-shrouded headers employ simplex-plated contacts and feature industry-standard 0.64-mm square-post contacts on a 2.54-mm pitch. Simplex plated posts with gold or gold flash over a palladium-nickel contact finish have no tin content and are guaranteed to be whisker-free. A range of through-hole options is available including single- or double-row headers in either straight or right angle orientations. The headers are also available with insulators, molded using high-temperature thermoplastic capable of withstanding lead-free reflow soldering temperatures.
