Transceivers Upgrade Standard RS422/RS485 Devices April 2005 Issue Published Date: April 04, 2005
The SP3070E/3071E/3072E/3073E/3074E/3075E transceivers are industry-standard footprint replacements for standard RS422 and RS485 types for operation on long or uncontrolled data busses. A second series, the SP3076E/3077E/3078E, is intended for high-speed signaling and supports data rates up to 16 Mbps. All versions operate from a 3V power supply and have enhanced ESD protection up to ±15 kV per IEC1000-4, 2 Air-gap test and Human Body Model. Typical power consumption in shutdown mode is 15 nW. Control inputs are hot-swap protected and held internally inactive to protect against false outputs during power transitions. Up to 256 transceivers can be connected on a bus. They are available in commercial and industrial temperature ranges. All versions are available in PDIP and SOIC packaging. Pricing begins at $1.20 each/1,000. SIPEX CORP., Milpitas, CA.
