Wideband Op Amp Drives Differential DSL Lines
April 2005 Issue
Published Date: April 04, 2005
The OPA2614 is a high-current wideband operational amplifier that offers broad dynamic range for digital subscriber line (DSL) applications in differential configurations. The supply voltage range is 5V to 12V in single supply systems and ±2.5V to ±6V for dual supply applications. Typical applications are driving 16-Bit ADCs and driving high capacitive loads and multiple-load video lines. Single 5V operation as a differential I/O interface to ADC inputs can support 14- to 16-bit converters with no degradation in signal-to-noise ratio or spurious-free dynamic range. Current output is 350 mA. The device comes in a standard SO-8 plastic package or a plastic PSO-8 thermally-enhanced package. Price is $1.55 each/1,000. TEXAS INSTRUMENTS INC., Dallas, TX. (800) 477-8924.
