CMOS Image Sensor Uses 2.575 µm Pixel
March 2005 Issue
Published Date: March 09, 2005
Enabling 3-, 4-, and 5-Mpixel camera modules for phones and other mobile devices, the company has introduced what it calls the industry's first CMOS image sensors using a 2.575 x 2.575 µm pixel. The sensors incorporate an extension of the proprietary EmeraldPixel architecture, which yields a 25° acceptance angle, as well as other optical enhancement technologies to improve quantum efficiency. According to the company, the sensors were manufactured at UMC, using its most advanced CMOS image sensor process. For further information and pricing, contact Abigail Domine at IC MEDIA CORP.
