Designed to reduce installation costs and construction time, the fiber optic Pavement Cable employs a gel-filled central tube cable encased in a smooth-wall, welded copper armor that provides fiber protection and water blocking characteristics. The cable is described as rugged in design with reliable crush resistance and thermal stability while providing tensile performance compatible with standard micro-trenching techniques. Sharp edges are minimized, providing fiber protection during cable access and termination.
