Optical Terminators Network Consumer Premises July 2004 Issue Published Date: July 07, 2004
Designed to connect ONT interfaces to coaxial cables, phone wires, and Ethernet networks in end-users' homes, the company's line of fiber-to-the-premise (FTTP) terminators include RF, LAN, power, and DSL filters, splitter/combiners, inductors, and transformers. The components report a wide range of advantages that include high bandwidths that accommodate multiple services at very high speeds. Compared to DSL, these optical network connections allow for longer distances without the need for repeaters. Power devices include planar transformers, flat-wire and multi-phase inductors, and current-sensing magnetics. For LANs, a number of transformer modules are available for both FTTP and VoIP applications. For further information, call PULSE, San Diego, CA. (858) 674-8100.
