Measuring only 7 x 7 mm, the AWT6146 GSM, quad-band power amplifier (PA) integrates power control functionality and is pin-compatible with the company's current generation of 10 x 7 mm PAs. The integrated power control scheme is said to facilitate fast production calibration and reduces the number of external components. The module provides 58% efficiency for GSM and 50% efficiency for DCS. And it supports dual-, tri- and quad-band applications employing any combination of GSM850, GSM900, DCS, and PCS bands.
