Proximity Sensors Can Be Installed In Tight Quarters
October 2003 Issue
Published Date: October 13, 2003
Measuring 17.3 x 21.8 x 3.3 mm, the MP1014 series Hall-effect, magnetic proximity sensors target applications with critical space requirements. The sensors provide a three-wire sinking output and operate on supply voltages from 4.75 to 24 Vdc. They provide reverse battery protection up to -15 Vdc and operate at temperatures from -40°C to 85°C. Latching and switching versions are available. The latching sensors have a typical operating point of 71 gauss on the south pole and a typical release point of 71 gauss on the north pole. Switching sensors have a south pole operating point of 166 gauss and a release point of 148 gauss on their north pole. CHERRY ELECTRICAL PRODUCTS, Pleasant Prairie, WI. (800) 285-0773.
