The company's library of SPICE connector models has been enhanced with the addition of "IBIS-like" models. In addition to the current SPICE formatted models, connector models are also available in Cadence SPECCTRAQuest (.dml), Mentor ICX (.mmf) and Hyperlynx LineSim formats. When the IBIS Interconnect Model Specification is adopted (the IBIS Open Forum was scheduled to vote on the spec in late August, well after press time) and simulation tool vendors release compliant software, the company says its connector models will be migrated to that format The new "IBIS-like" model formats can be downloaded at the company's web site SAMTEC INC., Signal Integrity Group, New Albany, IN.
