Power-Entry Modules Tout High Power Density
September 2003 Issue
Published Date: September 18, 2003
The series DC11 and DC12 power-entry modules can handle an inrush current of 100A through the switch for 3 to 4 ms and up to 5A continuous. They specify a life span of 50,000 cycles at 10A and 250V. Other features include one- or two-pole switches, lighted or unlighted switches, and an optional EMC filter. An integrated low-pass filter attenuates noise below 1 MHz in common and differential modes. Noise above 1 MHz is addressed with 10 dB of attenuation. The modules are available in screw-on and snap-in versions with current ratings from 1A to 10A at 250V. And the modules’s case design connects the ground terminal directly to the chassis. Prices start below $4.60 each/100, with delivery time running from four to six weeks. SCHURTER INC., Santa Rosa, CA. (800) 848-2000.
