September 2003 Issue
Published Date: September 18, 2003
By incorporating two diplexers, two receive filters, two transmit filters, and an antenna diversity switch in a single LTCC module, the R005 offers a simplified, lower cost, real estate-saving means of implementing 802.11 a/b/g designs compared to discrete solutions. The module operates in frequency bands from 2.4 to 2.5 MHz and 4.9 to 5.9 MHz and is available in 5.4 x 4 mm, 6.7 x 5.5 mm and 8.5 x 5 mm package sizes. Further, baluns and directional couplers can also be integrated in the device. Samples are available. For more details, contact Robert Wieczerzynski at EPCOS INC., Islen, NJ. (732) 906-4307.
