Voltage Translators Draw Little Current

September 15, 2003
The PI74LVC family of eight-bit, bi-directional 3V to 5V voltage translators consume 10 µA of standby current and just 50 µA when operating on 3.3V. Consisting of four devices, the PI74LVC3245A, PI74LVC 4245A, PI74LVCC3245A, and PI74LVCC4245A, each have dual power supplies and can translate signal voltage levels from 3V LVTTL/LVCMOS to 5V CMOS, and vice-versa, in a mixed-voltage environment. Features include a typical propagation delay of 3 ns port to port, rail-to-rail output swing, and a high-impedance output disable. Available in 24-pin TSSOP, QSOP, and SOIC packages, pricing is $0.50 each/10,000. PERICOM SEMICONDUCTOR CORP., San Jose, CA. (408) 435-0800
