Made up of 50 LEDs and measuring 72.5 mm x 30 mm x 6.5 mm, the SSB-COB6929SGW7900 solid-state backlight emits light over a wide, 180° angle and, in comparison to conventional fluorescent or incandescent backlights, is said to provide longer operational life and greater immunity to shock and vibration, and to take up less space. The new backlight emits light not only from its primary face, but also from its sides.
