Thermostats Embrace Settings As High As 525°F
June 2003 Issue
Published Date: June 01, 2003
Temperature settings up to 525°F and virtually any type of termination are available with a new line of SMT snap disc thermostats. The thermostats are individually calibrated and tested to meet both thermal and electrical characteristics and can be factory preset up to 525°F. Featuring a snap-acting bimetallic disc as the actuating element, these rugged devices have silver contacts to assure long life and can be equipped with solder lugs, wiring eyelets, and quick-connect style terminations; various mounting configurations and normally-closed or normally-open switching are also available. The thermostats are UL/CSA and CE approved, suitable for multiple uses up to 100,000 cycles, and meet MIL-STD-202 for vibration and shock resistance. They can be supplied in automatic and manual reset versions with contact ratings up to 25A, depending on configuration. The snap disc thermostats are priced from $0.95 each, depending on quantity.
