The X-brite blue and green LEDs are said to offer 20% extra brightness than the competition with an intensity of 3,500 mcd for blue (470nm) and up to 14,000 mcd for green (525nm). They can be used for outdoor electronics video displays, and also fulfill stringent requirements for backlighting, medical and automotive applications.
