Rocker Switch Handles Currents Up To 20A
August 2002 Issue
Published Date: August 01, 2002
In a package measuring just 1.125" x 0.5" x 1", the CR Series power rocker switch uses heavy-duty silver alloy contacts to perform high-current switching up to 20A. They are available in a variety of colors and in both lighted and non-lighted designs. Lighted designs use neon bulbs at 125 Vac or 250Vac. Lighted versions for dc operation are also available. The non-lighted family offers single-throw and double-throw devices and a two-color molded button with the secondary color being bright red for optimal visibility. Recommended panel cutout length is 1.12", and the series can accommodate three panel cutout widths of 0.476", 0.528", and 0.543". Maximum operating temperature is 85°C. An optional splash-resistant design is also available. Typical applications for the switches include appliances, office equipment and lighting control.
