The 9290 series of surface-mount reed relays uses a high temperature solder alloy for internal connections. The alloy, Sn95/Sb5, is said to allow for process temperatures of 230¡C maximum for a one minute dwell time. Additional features include an external magnetic shield that minimizes interaction between relays and coaxial shields that provide RF capability and a rise time suitable for handling pulses.
