The MTC5531 full-rate clock driver module for LiNbO3 return-to-zero (RZ) optical modulators measures 35.6 mm x 35.6 mm x 10.2 mm and requires just 5.5W. The module accepts a low-level sinusoidal signal and generates a signal rate of up to a 13 Gb/s. It incorporates linear gain control with built-in temperature compensated AGC with better than 1% accuracy over temperature and voltage. Input voltage sensitivity is 400 mV and voltage output is 12V). In addition, the MTC5531 provides both digital and analog wide, linear phase shift control, said to make it suitable for most RZ transmission applications.
