Designed for flexible integration of applications where the PCI or PCMCIA bus and HDLC/SDLC or asynchronous communications are required, the ACB-MP.PCI (PCI bus) and PC-ACB-MP (PCMCIA) single-port, sync/async serial I/O adapter cards feature software interface selection. These include RS-232/422/485/449, EIA-530, V.35, and X.21 via the Sipex interface chip. They provide communication speeds up to 128 kb/s in Windows, which is said to make them suitable for digital service line technology applications. The ACB-MP.PCI card is based on the Zilog 85230 ESCC synchronous controller and the PC-ACB-MP is based on the Zilog 85233 controller.
