Offered as a free download from the company's web site, a new media player is said to work on the widest range of mobile devices available including basic and high-performance handheld PCs, Internet enabled cell phones, PDAs and laptop PCs. Designed to work with Pocket PC, Windows CE 2.11, and Palm OS 3.0 or higher, the player displays all forms of visual media including video, animation, graphics and enhanced text. Features include compression and error-detection algorithms, a built-in digital rights management mechanism, XML scripting, and a media writer that converts content from various formats. The player is said to work optimally on color, black-and-white, and grayscale displays.
