Among the requirements placed on components used in medical equipment concern their fusing and filtering characteristics. This is important for patient-connected medical equipment, as it can be subjected to low-leakage currents. New medical power entry modules have been developed that are designed to meet such low-leakage current requirements. The modules use a low-leakage filter in the 5A range at 250Vac.
