Quad, 800-kHz Op Amp Comes In Tiny TSSOPs
October 2000 Issue
Published Date: October 01, 2000
Housed in a tiny 14-pin TSSOP, the MAX4403 quad, rail-to-rail operational amplifier provides a gain-bandwidth product of 800 kHz and consumes only 320 µA of supply current per amplifier. The device operates from a single supply voltage ranging from 2.5V to 5.5V and is claimed to be ideal for space-limited applications that require low power without sacrificing bandwidth or gain accuracy. Featuring a special output architecture that achieves an open-loop gain of 110 dB, the op amp is capable of driving a 2 kiloohms load to within 55 mV of both supply rails. Other features include a total harmonic distortion of 0.009% and unity-gain stability with capacitive loads up to 400 pF. Prices start at $0.60 each/100,000.
