Laser-Diode Modules Are Bellcore Compliant October 2000 Issue Published Date: October 01, 2000
These two MQW-structured 1310-nm laser diode modules in TO-18 packages are qualified to Bellcore TA-NWT-000983 requirements. The modules are designed for a wide range of communication applications, including short- and medium- range optical data links, optical LANs, and subscriber loops. Electro-optical specifications for the laser-diode modules include a maximum optical power output of 10 mW at 25°C with a minimum output of 5 mW from -40°C to 85°C. Optical output is centered at 1,310 nm with a spectral width of 1,280 to 1,340 nm. Other ratings include an LD reverse voltage of 2V, a PD reverse voltage of 15V, and a PD forward current of 1 mA. Samples are available in eight to 10 weeks with production lead times of up to 16 weeks.
