Schottky Diode Terminators Target High-Speed I/O Apps
October 2000 Issue
Published Date: October 01, 2000
The DN5 and DNA series Schottky diode networks are claimed to be excellent for relieving problems encountered in high-speed I/O, such as overshoot and undershoot, ringing, and bus reflections. Both series boast of low parasitics, low forward voltage drop, and fast recovery times. And both are 18-channel terminators housed in a single package. Supply voltage ranges from -0.3V to +7V with a channel clamp current of ±50 mA. Power rating at 70°C is 1W and the operating temperature range is from 0°C to 70°C. The DNA series offers resistor/capacitor pin counts of 20 or 24, and the DN5 series, 20. Packaging options include SOIC, QSOP, TSSOP, and 0.6-, 0.5-, or 0.4-mm die packs, depending on which series is selected.
