Laser-Processed Logic Devices Replace Popular CPLDs
October 2000 Issue
Published Date: October 01, 2000
The CL3000A family of laser-processed logic devices (LPLDs) are designed to be used interchangeably in the same socket as Altera's MAX 3000A CPLDs. The new devices are claimed to cost 30% to 50% less than the Altera devices, making them ideal for budget-conscious designs. Users can obtain free CL3000A devices configured with their MAX 3000A designs by submitting their programming files to the company's web site. CL3000A LPLDs are configured by the company at the factory using the customer's electronic programming file.
