Targeting applications such as touch-screens, transparent overlays, or any application where high visual accuracy is required, the 8161 and 9483 optically clear adhesives boast of a 99% light transmission with a haze level of less than 1%. They also have a refractive index of 1.46. Manufactured in a clean room, they are said to be virtually free of common adhesive defects such as bubbles, dirt and gels. They are also claimed to be firmer, less tacky, and easier to apply than the company's earlier clear adhesives.
