Implemented as a software upgrade to the company's UniPorte-based MTN1000 Universal Access Modules, the new software provides support for voice-over-DSL (VoDSL). The MTN1000 is a palm-sized module that performs all the voice and packet processing functions for a VTOA gateway. With the new version of the software, the module reportedly is just as capable of creating a VTOA gateway as it is in performing its standard functions.
