Sensors Specialize In Detecting Low Flow Rates
June 2000 Issue
Published Date: June 01, 2000
Said to be ideal for applications involving low-flow-rate liquid monitoring, the FTB2000 series of Hall-effect, turbine flow-rate sensors couples low-cost with a 0.5% repeatability figure. The flow-rate sensors are also well-suited as replacements for dispensing-timer systems. Unlike existing timing systems, turbine technology is not influenced by changes in system pressure caused by aging filters. And the sensors' standard power and output specifications allow them to be retrofitted to existing controllers. Other features include an accuracy of ±3% of the reading, the ability to measure flow rates of 0.13 to 7.9 gpm, and construction from FDA-approved materials. Unit pricing is $70.
