Programmers who want to build databases and create custom forms for Pocket PCs can do so with Visual CE for the Pocket PC. The Professional and Enterprise editions of the software are designed for advanced development applications and include such features as data storage to a flash card, command buttons, autonumbering, application launch buttons, and synchronization of multiple devices to one desktop. Programmers can also remove all references to Visual CE and Syware from any applications they create. Development is done on a Windows 95/98/NT/2000-based desktop system and downloaded to the Pocket PC. Applications will run on any Pocket PC device including the Compaq Aero and Hewlett-Packard Jornada. Visual CE for the Pocket PC, Personal Edition is priced at $129. The Professional Edition, priced at $399, provides a more advanced feature set and includes royalty-free distribution rights. The Enterprise Edition, priced at $599, includes all features of the Professional Edition plus it includes Report CE for the Pocket PC, a full featured reporting and printing tool for the Pocket PC.
