The Cell-Tek Insulation System allows the manufacture of cables with extremely large, open-eye patterns that can transmit high bandwidth signals over long distances with virtually no skew. These transmission lines can have bandwidth I/Os greater than 2.5 Gb/s for more than 50 feet. The insulation's highly uniform and dispersed cell structure is robust enough to be used in multiple pairs within a cable without closing the eye. The insulation provides internal pair skew of <1 ps per foot and pair-to-pair skew of <5 ps per foot. The insulation system is suitable for automatic termination without pre-testing. A wide range of communications cables that are EMI/EMC shielded and that exhibit greater than -80 dB attenuation from 0 to 1 GHz are available with Cell-Tek insulation.
